Impress your guests

In order to impress you must first understand!

It seems pretty simple, doesn’t it?

Some questions worth asking yourself are:

What atmosphere am I trying to create, and for whom?
What is the average age of my guests? (100 year old + new born baby = 50 on average).
Do my guests want to dance?
Is there a focus on talking, networking, or just partying?

The following may help when using the Instinct style search:

18-35 years of age: Duos/Trios, Dance and Party Bands, Reception Bands, Funk & Soul Acts, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rock/Top 40, Jazz Bands, Latin Bands.

35-50 years of age: Dance & Party Bands, Reception Bands, Jazz Bands, R&B bands, Funk & Soul acts, Swing and Big Bands, Pop Duos, Trios and Quartets.

50+ years of age: Jazz Bands, Reception Bands. String/Classical, Blues/Roots.

With a twist: A Capella, Choirs, Reggae Bands, Percussion Groups, Brazilian or African percussion and dance troupes.

Selecting the right DJ would work for all the above.

Dancing is the focus:
Dance & party bands, pop duos, reception bands, funk &soul bands, Swing & big bands, Latin bands and DJs.

Background music:
Small jazz combos, string quartets, duos & trios, guitarists, harpists, pianists, soloists will work for all ages.

Where do we go from here? (Booking your act)

Once you have selected the artist, band, DJ or performer of your preference, we will confirm the availability of the act (usually within 24 hours), then we send you a booking form (via email, post or fax), complete with artist, price, date, location, times required, load & set up times, and any special instructions.

We will supply a booking contract for you to sign & return to us. Our fax number is (03) 96457866 or simply return via email or post.

All bookings require a 20% deposit, unless a special credit application has been made. All deposits are non-refundable. The deposit and signed contract will confirm your booking and ensure outstanding entertainment for your event.

All payments can be made via EFT*, credit card, cheque, cash, money order. But if you have any questions, please call (03) 96457866 or email.

*EFT: Electronic funds transfer now available online with most banks and financial institutions.

Where can I see the act perform?

Many of Instinct bands only perform at corporate events, private functions and weddings. Wherever possible, we will arrange for you to see the band, but quite often it is not appropriate. (You can imagine strangers sticking their head into your event or wedding!)

However, you can listen to audio samples, when available, download Mpeg videos of the bands, and you can always view the repertoire, picture gallery, and ask us as many questions as you like.

Artists fees?

Artist fees vary depending on basic supply and demand. The better or the more popular, distance required to travel and the length of the performance, the more you will pay!
It's that simple.

In order to quote, (which is usually on the spot!) we will need to know:

• The date & times,
• The location,
• The number of guests (to help assess production & equipment requirements).
